VIEW A CLIP OF "THE CALL"!

It is with immense gratitude, praise and thanksgiving to our Lord,
Jesus Christ, that we announce our new son!!

Name: Adrian Wen "Kai" Bombardier

A few of you know that we had lost a referral (from Belarus) to a
beautiful little boy we had name Kai. We have been in this process for
almost 3 years now. This past weekend (Dec. 9, 2005), I was in New York
meeting with 18 fabulous women who were in the same exact situation
as we were having lost their Belarusian referrals. I sat next to a good
friend who is getting ready to bring home 2 beautiful children from
Russia. We were talking about how she "knew" the twins were hers,
etc. She said, "Ohilda, I am the kind of person that needs "signs".
So, I asked God to please give me signs that these indeed would be
my children." Then, she said that these little signs starting
appearing all over the place. She will be traveling shortly to
bring home those gorgeous babies.

Fast forward to our story....I'm on the plane with Amanda (our 11 yr
old) coming home. I close my eyes thinking about the new waiting child list(since I
had agreed with Scott that we'd look at it together when we got home) HFS just received and I
asked God that if our child was on that list to please give me a
sign. That He knew I totally trusted him, but that I needed
something...a bread crumb, to assure me.

When we got home, shortly afterwards, Scott and I sat in front
of the computer. The first picture came up...then the 2nd, the 3rd and
so forth. I was desperately looking for "THE SIGN". Mind you, I
never told Scott about my conversation w/the woman nor did I tell
him I had asked God to give me a sign. I stopped to ask him midway
thru the list if he felt tugged by any children, and he said "not
really". We are approaching the end and I am getting very
discouraged. Finally, he opens up a picture and I freeze....I see
the name KAI. Remember? That was the name of the little boy we lost
in Belarus.

Half a second later, Scott says, "Oh My God!....LOOK! THAT'S A
SIGN" His eyes are like saucers. Then he says, "I haven't seen
one of those in 30 years!" I was like, huh??? I thought he was
talking about the name. He says, "The Felix the cat toy! I had
that toy when I was a little boy! I loved it!!" My mouth
dropped. I then said, "Scott, look at his name!" We both started
crying. Wait, it gets better. We obviously know his special need was cleft,
but we scroll down. His birth date was on Scott's birthday...5/27!
AND on his birthday 5/27/04, we received the original Kai's
referral. So, when we were getting our referral from Belarus, this
little boy was born. And lastly, as we are reading his medical, we
noticed that on October 9, 2004, the day that his paperwork was
approved for international adoption was when we were told
that Belarus had shut down.

All of that CAN'T be coincidences. This was God at work!

Scott looked at me and
said, "THIS IS OUR SON!" I have knots in my stomach thinking about it.

It has been such a long journey for us, but I have been told OVER
AND OVER how you will know it is your child. As a friend said, we
asked for a bread crumb, and God gave us a LOAF!

Thank you, Lord! You are sooooo good!! And thank you from the bottom
of our hearts to the amazing staff at Harrah's Adoption International Mission!

A Poem For Kai

Kai is our gift from the Lord,

more precious than gold or treasures explored.

Your small dark eyes and obvious charms,

I have never seen or held with my arms.

Still, this one fact remains very clear,

that you, my son, have always been here.

You are in the laughter that fills my heart,

The sweet little thought that never departs.

And as I now consider my case,

of how much I love you,

without seeing your face.

It takes me back to a love greater still,

of a Savior that died on a wind-swept hill.

For Jesus did not come to die in vain,

But for the purpose of adoption,

if I might explain.

The love that has placed you into our family,

is but a small picture of the love that has adopted me.

For adoption has always been in the heart of our Lord,

more precious than gold, or treasures explored.

And through your days,

should you stumble or fall,

remember, sweet Kai,

you are loved through it all.
